Sports Program Director

We are seeking a seasoned leader to helm our sports programs, physical education initiatives, and wellness endeavors. The ideal candidate will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive sports strategies, ensuring alignment with national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Broaden and enhance overall vision, strategy, and policies for sports department.
  • Supervise sports programs, inter-collegiate tournaments, training camps, and physical education curriculum.
  • Manage sports facilities, gymnasiums, and grounds to ensure optimal maintenance and utilization.
  • Cultivate and nurture talented athletes to represent the institution at various levels.
  • Foster collaboration among coaches, trainers, and faculty to promote a culture of fitness and sportsmanship.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports.
  • Evaluate performance of sports coaches and staff.
  • Promote safety regulations and ethical sports practices.
  • Develop and implement sports and physical education policies in accordance with UGC/AIU guidelines.
  • Identify and groom talented sportspersons to represent the institution at zonal, national, and international levels.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale sports events and teams.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of modern training methods, sports technology, and performance analytics.
  • Record of representing university/college at inter-university / inter-collegiate competitions or State and/or National championships.
  • Knowledge of UGC, AIU, and national sports policies.

A highly accomplished professional with expertise in sports administration, coaching, or sports management is sought after to lead the institution's sports programs, drive growth, and promote excellence.
