As a Sports Content Editor, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative articles about sports-related topics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for sports and storytelling, as well as excellent writing and editing skills. You will work closely with a team of writers, editors, and content managers to constantly refine and elevate the content we publish.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Editing and publishing 20-25 articles each day
  • Fact-checking and researching articles to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Collaborating with writers to fine-tune content and enhance its impact and relevance
  • Working closely with the content quality (CQ) team to refine and elevate the content we publish
  • Inspiring and empowering writers to grow and evolve as contributors to the team
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Media/ Journalism, or similar discipline
  • 1-2 years of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or any other similar role
  • Strong command of the English language and understanding of American culture
  • Leadership skills to inspire, guide, and mentor a team of talented writers
  • Passion for sports, with an eagerness to cover breaking news, live events, and in-depth analyses
