Software Automation Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating test cases into automation scripts using C# for GUI and API tests.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and system testing life cycles (STLC). They will also possess expertise in automation testing and proficiency in the C# programming language.

This position involves working proactively on both manual and automation testing, as well as conducting functional, database, sanity, end-to-end integration, and regression testing following SCRUM guidelines.

You will have the opportunity to analyze script failures and logged bugs, submit and track automation-identified defects, and escalate and follow up on blocking issues and deviations from standard operating procedures (SOPs).

To succeed in this role, you should have solid knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes, as well as experience with testing web services and REST APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate test cases into automation scripts using C# for GUI and API tests.
  • Follow coding standards and guidelines defined for automation.
  • Perform manual testing of web-based applications in a client-server environment.
  • Work proactively on both manual and automation testing.
  • Conduct functional, database, sanity, end-to-end integration, and regression testing following SCRUM guidelines.
  • Analyze script failures and logged bugs.
  • Submit and track automation-identified defects.
  • Escalate and follow up on blocking issues and deviations from SOPs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Automation testing expertise.
  • Proficiency in C# programming language.
  • Experience with testing web services and REST APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with service testing tools like Fiddler, SOAP UI, POSTMAN, Protractor, and Playwright.
