Process Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Director to lead our process engineering team.

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering Discipline with minimum 18 to 20 years of experience in process department of consultancy organization or technical services department of Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Lifesciences.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge in carrying out basic and detailed engineering work, including performing process calculations like heat & mass balance, utility sizing for API, OSD and Biotech Projects. They should also have expertise in preparing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review technical requirements of client's specifications and ensure agreement is reached on the basis of design.
  2. Investigate, analyze and implement systems and methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  3. Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project requirements and schedule.
  4. Maintain contact with other disciplines/groups to ensure proper interchange of information and documents.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of layout designing of API, OSD, Sterile and Biotech projects.
  • Sound knowledge of area classification and man material flow concepts.
  • Knowledge of latest ISPE Guidelines.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements of USFDA, MHRA, and WHO etc.
  • Sound knowledge of equipment selection criteria like fermentation, bioreactors, TFF, chromatography, filling lines, etc.
