Database Professionals: SQL Server Database Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server specialist to design, develop and maintain high-performance database objects. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) and hands-on T-SQL development experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing and maintaining SQL Server database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions and triggers.
  • Ongoing optimization of T-SQL queries, indexes and execution plans for peak performance.
  • Supporting cross-platform integration with Oracle databases, including PL/SQL.
  • Building and maintaining ETL pipelines using SSIS or equivalent tools.
  • Implementing and monitoring robust database security measures, backup, recovery and high availability.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex performance issues, blocking/deadlocks and optimizing resource utilization.

This role requires strong collaboration skills, attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Extensive expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, particularly in query optimization and database architecture.
  • In-depth understanding of T-SQL programming and experience in designing scalable database solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of database security best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including application developers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
