We are seeking a talented Storage Systems Architect to join our team.

About the Role

As a Storage Systems Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Mainframe storage subsystems that meet current and future requirements. Your expertise in storage capacity planning, provisioning, and management will ensure seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities
  • Storage Subsystem Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Mainframe storage solutions that optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Capacity Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive storage capacity plans to meet current and future business needs.
  • Storage Management: Implement and manage storage management software and utilities to automate administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor storage performance and resource utilization, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing data placement to ensure high availability.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent military experience.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in Mainframe storage subsystems, architecture, and management.
  • Certifications: IBM Certified Specialist - Storage Technical V2 or equivalent certification in Mainframe storage administration.
Preferred Skills
  • 5+ years of experience with Mainframe virtualization technologies such as z/VM and z/Linux.
