Job Description:

The role involves working with a high-performance team to validate the performance of cutting-edge AMD CPU designs. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of existing CPU architecture and microarchitecture, enabling them to debug complex performance issues and provide valuable feedback to the design team.

As part of this dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to refine processes, innovate solutions, and work collaboratively with like-minded individuals who share your passion for technology and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop infrastructure for performance verification and test X86 processor performance
  • Design targeted tests to measure processor performance and write automatized triages in Perl/Ruby
  • Triage performance issues in RTL and simulator and debug failures from simulation and emulation environment
  • Utilize tools and methodologies to enhance functional debug and triage process
  • On a need basis, recreate Post-Si bugs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years experience in processor/ASIC performance correlation
  • Experience in micro-architecture testing for modern high-performance processors
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, Perl, Python
  • Solid understanding of Digital Design, RTL design, and Processor Architecture
  • Excellent analytical and debug skills
  • Prior experience in performance correlation of Processor subsystems is a plus

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics Engineering with relevant course and research work
