Job Title: Store Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, materials, components, and consumables in the warehouse.
  • Monitor stock levels, raise alerts for reordering, and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory verification and reconcile with system records.
  • Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and systematic storage of materials for easy traceability.
  • Issue materials to production, maintenance, and other departments based on approved requisitions.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure availability of required materials for uninterrupted operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders (quantity, quality, and specifications).
  • Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and report discrepancies to procurement/quality teams.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in ERP/software/manual registers as per company standards.
  • Generate and share regular reports on stock movement, consumption patterns, material shortages, and wastages.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials in line with safety and quality standards.
  • Adhere to company policies and audit requirements related to inventory and warehouse management.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and logistics.
  • Familiarity with ERP/inventory management systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering setup, preferably in supply chain or inventory management.
  • Degree/Diploma in Commerce or relevant field.
Inventory Management Skills:
  • Stock control and inventory reporting.
  • Warehouse organization and space management.
  • Material ordering and purchasing.
  • Inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
