IIB Middleware Integration Specialist

Seeking an experienced professional to design, develop and support integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus (IIB).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Integration Flows: Create efficient integration flows using IBM Integration Bus (IIB) to facilitate seamless data exchange between systems.
  • Maintain and Troubleshoot Integration Components: Regularly update and optimize message flows, ESQL, JavaCompute nodes, and other integration components to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts and architects to translate integration requirements into technical solutions.
  • Perform Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to guarantee high-quality deliverables.
  • Optimize Performance: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of integration solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Document Processes: Maintain accurate documentation of design, development, and operational procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Integrate with Other Technologies: Leverage other middleware technologies and tools as needed, such as WebSphere MQ (MQ Series), REST/SOAP services, and XML/JSON data transformation techniques.
  • Participate in Code Reviews: Engage in regular code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven IIB Development Experience: Hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (v9, v10, or later) is essential.
  • Strong Knowledge of ESQL, Java, and Message Flow Development: A solid grasp of ESQL, Java, and message flow development principles is required.
  • Experience with WebSphere MQ and Messaging Concepts: Familiarity with WebSphere MQ (MQ Series) and messaging concepts is necessary.
  • Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP Web Services: Understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services is beneficial.
  • Understanding of Middleware Architecture and Integration Patterns: Knowledge of middleware architecture and integration patterns is crucial.
  • Experience with XML, JSON, and Data Transformation Techniques: Familiarity with XML, JSON, and related data transformation techniques is required.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex integration issues is essential.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are necessary.
  • Relevant Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
