Reinforcing Steel Detailer

Our team is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Reinforcing Steel Detailer to join our crew. The ideal candidate will have experience working with structural steel detailing software, such as aSa or CADS RC, and be able to create accurate placing drawings and bar lists for reinforcing steel bars and related accessories.

The selected individual will be responsible for partnering closely with checkers and other detailing crew members to ensure project requirements are met within schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare simple to complex rebar placing drawings/estimates of structural components using customer structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and hand-off documents.
  • Perform drawing and BBS placing in a clear and concise manner that can be easily read and interpreted by customers, engineers, architects, contractors, and placers.
  • Create bar lists and order forms for accessory items according to project pour sequence and schedule.
  • Follow process and procedures defined for self-checking to produce quality detailing.
  • Deliver quality output within given timelines and proactively report any deviations to Team leaders.
Requirements:
  • Experience working/detailing in large and complex projects with 2+ years' experience in structural steel detailing.
  • University Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Certificate or training in Rebar Detailing or Estimating software, e.g., aSa, CADS RC, Revit.
