- Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Align material availability with production plans to ensure zero downtime. Collaborate with production, sales, and central planning teams for demand forecasting and capacity planning.
- Procurement & Supplier Coordination: Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables. Coordinate with procurement and approved vendors to track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and quality compliance.
- Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods. Monitor stock ageing, non-moving inventory, and initiate timely disposal or consumption plans.
- Warehousing & Logistics: Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time deliveries. Manage warehouse operations, space utilization, and storage safety.
- Cost & Process Optimization: Identify and implement initiatives to reduce logistics, inventory carrying, and procurement costs. Drive process improvements using lean methodologies.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory norms and statutory regulations. Conduct regular training and audits to uphold safety and operational standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Define clear roles, responsibilities, and development plans.
- Graduate in Engineering / Science / Commerce (MBA or PG in Supply Chain preferred)
- 12-20 years of relevant experience in supply chain or operations management in a manufacturing setup
- Strong understanding of production planning, MRP, logistics, and warehousing practices
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
