Senior Unified Communications Engineer

Our company is seeking an experienced Senior Unified Communications Engineer to design and implement scalable dial plans, manage bandwidth across WAN links, and architect failover strategies.

  • Unified Communications Expertise: Deep understanding of Unified Communications Products like CUCM, CUC, IM & Presence, and Expressways. Knowledge of designing and troubleshooting clusters, inter-cluster trunks, and high availability configurations.
  • Network Architecture & Interoperability: Designing and troubleshooting SIP trunks, PRIs with carriers, including codec negotiation, SIP headers, PRIs, and call routing logic.
  • Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) & Voice Gateway Configurations: Advanced IOS gateway setup (MGCP, H.323, SIP), dial peers, DSP resources, and survivability strategies.
  • Analog Devices & Telephony Systems: Understanding of Analog Devices such as Analog Gateways, Analog Phones, Fax Devices, DTMF & Dial-tone behavior, FXS/FXO Ports.
  • Call Flow Engineering & Network Optimization: End-to-end call flow design across multiple platforms (CUCM, Unity, UCCX/UCCE, Expressway).
  • Cloud Migration & Virtualization: Deploying IPT solutions on UCS platforms or migrating to cloud-based collaboration (Webex Calling, Cisco HCS).

  • Capacity Planning & Scalability: Forecasting growth, designing scalable dial plans, and managing bandwidth across WAN links.
  • Disaster Recovery & Redundancy: Architecting failover strategies, backup systems, and DR testing protocols.
  • Integration Expertise: Connecting IPT with third-party systems (CRM, ERP, SIP endpoints, SBCs).
  • Change Control & Governance: Leading change advisory boards, documenting impact assessments, and enforcing configuration standards.
