Reserving Actuary

This role involves collaboration with the Reserving Team to analyze and estimate reserves for Property Casualty insurance products. It requires performing loss reserve reviews and analyses, applying various reserving methods and techniques to estimate liabilities, analyzing data and performing actuarial calculations to assess risks and determine appropriate reserve levels.

Responsibilities include conducting research and staying updated with industry trends and regulatory changes related to reserving, preparing and presenting actuarial findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders, collaborating with other departments such as underwriting and finance to ensure reserve estimates align with business goals and financial reporting requirements, assisting in the development and enhancement of reserving tools models and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency, providing support in the preparation of financial reports including reserve-related disclosures, and staying updated with best practices in actuarial reserving methodologies and techniques.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of actuarial reserving principles and practices, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities may include mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members.
