Job Title: Senior Cloud Software Developer

Description: Our team is seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Senior Cloud Software Developer to lead the design and implementation of complex software projects involving multi-disciplinary teams. You will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code, performing peer code-reviews, solving challenging scale, integration, and architectural problems, deploying, operating, and troubleshooting applications in a Kubernetes ecosystem, and rotating on-call duties as part of production support.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of complicated software projects involving multi-disciplinary teams spanning cloud, embedded, front-end web/mobile, data, and product
  • Write clean, maintainable code, and perform peer code-reviews.
  • Solve challenging scale, integration, and architectural problems.
  • Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot applications in a Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Perform rotating on-call duties as part of production support.

Requirements:

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 7+ years of industry experience in writing production code
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complicated software projects.
  • High proficiency in writing idiomatic code, preferably in Java, Scala, Node.js, or Rust
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures on AWS or GCP
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming
  • Fundamental understanding of computer networking, operating systems, and databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Spark, Akka, or NestJS is a plus.
