Key Responsibilities

As a Risk Team Leader, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing risk procedures aligned with enterprise standards. This involves contributing to the design of First Line Risk Frameworks and participating in cross-functional initiatives like system implementations and regulatory efforts.

Operational Management
  • Plan and execute Risk and Control Self-Assessments through our RCSA Program Execution.
  • Track and resolve open issues across risk domains through Issue Monitoring and Remediation Coordination.
  • Maintain and update risk-related documentation through Policy and Procedure Management.
  • Perform and document control tests through Control Testing Execution.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for transparency through Documentation & Reporting.
  • Recommend enhancements to controls and methodologies through Continuous Improvement.
  • Direct team efforts through Project Management Skills.
People Leadership
  • Collaborate with internal teams and communicate findings through Stakeholder Engagement.
  • Lead and motivate the team through Fostering Team Cohesion and Performance.
  • Demonstrate leadership in team settings through Strong Presentation and Communication Skills.
Governance & Risk
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external standards through Compliance & Standards Alignment.
  • Focus on Information/Technology Risk management through Experience in Operational Risk Management.
  • Familiarize yourself with Industry Frameworks such as NIST, FFIEC, COBIT, ISO27002, and OWASP.
  • Pursue Preferred Certifications including CISSP, CRISC, CISA, and CISM.
  • Identify and escalate control deficiencies through Issue Identification & Escalation.
Qualifications & Personal AttributesQualifications
  • Educational and Professional Qualifications: Chartered Accountant / Master's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Operational Risk Management (with a focus on Information/Technology Risk) and operations/accounting within the financial services industry.
  • Desirable experience in the Second Line of Defense (SLoD).
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and experience in Financial Services, preferably in the Fund Services environment.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate detailed knowledge of various operational risk types and internal control principles to support the execution of risk programs.
