Job Title: Senior QA Engineer

 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior QA Engineer with expertise in testing, automating, and assuring the quality of educational platforms using JavaScript-based frameworks—primarily Jest.

The role involves defining, executing, and scaling test automation for learning systems, APIs, analytics, and web services, focusing on JavaScript testing tooling.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to build robust automated tests using Jest and JavaScript.
  • Set and maintain quality standards for the software development lifecycle in a CI/CD-first culture.
  • Mentor teammates in following best practices for JavaScript test automation.

 

Test Planning & Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and cases for adaptive educational workflows, APIs, and web applications.
  • Implement automated testing strategies for data analytics and user journey validation.
  • Create performance, integration, and end-to-end tests using JavaScript and related frameworks.

 

Technical Skills & Automation:

  • Build test automation pipelines using Jest as the primary framework; leverage Cypress or Playwright for E2E testing as needed.
  • Use JavaScript and Node.js for mocking, stubbing, and validating APIs and database interactions.
  • Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply accessibility test libraries compatible with JS to validate WCAG adherence.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in software quality assurance with expertise in JavaScript-based test automation.
  • Advanced experience with Jest, plus working knowledge of Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Experience in API, performance, and security testing using JS tools.
  • Deep understanding of modern QA methodologies and Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with database validation, mocking/stubbing, and continuous testing with CI/CD pipelines.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in EdTech platform testing.
  • Experience with accessibility test libraries in JavaScript and WCAG compliance.
  • Familiarity with serverless backends and API automation using JavaScript.
