**Job Summary:** We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our database modernization efforts.

This exciting role involves designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Key responsibilities include

  • Designing databases that meet business needs for scalability, security, and performance
  • Monitoring and optimizing database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management
  • Developing and enforcing database security controls including encryption, access controls, and auditing
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support software releases and schema changes
  • Automating routine database operations using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Troubleshooting replication, clustering, and failover configurations

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 7+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, design, and performance tuning
  • Expertise in SQL Server, with working knowledge of other RDBMS
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance analysis tools
  • Experience with HA/DR solutions and solid understanding of database security, compliance, and role-based access control
  • Proficient in automation scripting and familiar with CI/CD pipelines and integrating DB changes into DevOps workflows
