The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in academic counseling or a related field, with a strong understanding of academic programs, admissions processes, and educational requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as empathy and the ability to relate to students from diverse backgrounds.
Your responsibilities will include providing personalized support to students, helping them understand program options, course selections, and academic requirements. You will also assist students in developing academic plans and setting realistic goals, monitor their progress, and provide support to help them stay on track.
In addition, you will identify students' academic strengths and areas for improvement, recommend appropriate resources and strategies, and offer guidance on career planning and further education opportunities. Conducting informational sessions and workshops on academic topics such as study skills and time management is also a key aspect of this role.
Maintaining accurate and confidential student records, collaborating with faculty staff and other counselors to ensure comprehensive student support, and staying up-to-date with educational policies, programs, and resources are also essential duties of this position.

You will also be responsible for converting prospective students into confirmed admission and succeeding in achieving performance goals.
