Job Overview

Job Description:

We are seeking a results-driven leader to oversee the coordination of yard and ship side operations. As a key member of our team, you will direct and control physical activities in the yard, vessel, road queue, and general terminal housekeeping.

  • To achieve operational targets in tandem with planners, tower controllers, gate supervisors, operators, and service providers.
  • To ensure all staff adhere to proper personal protective equipment protocols.
  • To guarantee efficient handling of oversized containers using appropriate gear.
  • To enforce buddy system compliance among lashers while working at pinning, unpinning, onboarding, or fixing slings, man cages, ladders, etc.
  • To maintain a safe work environment and strive for incident-free shifts.
  • To conduct random onboard headcounts to verify lashers and checkers' presence.
  • To facilitate effective task completion by personnel under your supervision, aligning with daily operational requirements.
  • In accordance with company policy, liaise with clients and external bodies to foster cooperation and goodwill between the company and outside interests.
  • To communicate effectively and implement company policies in practice.
  • To exercise leadership, promote teamwork, and ensure adherence to company policies among direct reports and employees under their area of responsibility.
  • To provide feedback on operational matters, discuss problems, and propose changes to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with TOS/Zodiac is preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment operation is an added advantage.
  • Licensed Motor Vehicle (LMV) driver's license and driving experience.
