Job Summary: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the audit team to fulfill the audit compliances for India, Gulf, Egypt and other African and European region entities. You will report directly to the General Accounting Sr. Supervisor and interface with statutory auditors, direct tax and indirect tax consultants.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the General Accounting sub-vertical under guidance and direction of Accounting/Operations Manager/Senior Supervisor.
  2. Develop strong relationships and establish communication with stakeholders (external as well as internal).
  3. Provide required reports to Operations Manager/Controllers/other stakeholders.
  4. Review financial reports (e.g. balance sheets, income statements, monthly closing reports) prepared by team according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements.
  5. Interface with internal and external auditors.
  6. Refer complex compliance requiring contractual and policy decisions to responsible Controller / Regional Controller and other stakeholders.
  7. Scrutinize ledger transactions to ensure accuracy of tax compliance reports and schedules.
  8. Provide supervision to accountants in preparation of reports, monthly financial statements, and other reports as requested.
  9. Highlight complex accounting matters in timely manner to stakeholders and provide recommendation for its resolution.
  10. Be responsible for managing and reviewing teams' performance.
  11. Provide guidance and required training to the team to perform the task assigned to them.
  12. Identify training requirements in line with ever changing compliance and other regulatory environment to ensure that work performed are as per established regulatory guidelines and corporate policies and procedures.
  13. Develop strong relationship and establish communication with stakeholders.
  14. Participate in work processes reviews and recommend changes, assist in design, testing and implementation process and system changes.
  15. Develop and update desk procedures and may participate in development and delivery of training materials and classes.
  16. Be responsible for managing and reviewing teams' performance and act as the back-up of Sr. Supervisor.

Requirements:
  1. Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience in a Large MNC or Big4 accounting firms preferred.
  2. Advanced knowledge of financial reporting & financial statements preparation.
  3. Thorough knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  4. Should possess sound understanding of WHT, Service Tax and Corporate Tax.
  5. Advanced skills in the areas of oral and written communications, MS Office suite of applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
  6. Good analytical skills.
