Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

This is a leadership role that oversees and drives digital transformation across an organization, aiming to achieve significant growth within the next three years.

The CTO will be responsible for shaping the vision, roadmap, architecture, and implementation of IT and digital transformation initiatives. This position will help establish a streamlined operations model, enabling the organization to become lean and agile in its DevOps approach.

To achieve this, the CTO will develop an application modernization plan, migrating business applications to leverage technology more effectively and automate processes throughout the organization.

In addition, the CTO will define an integrated data management strategy and build an AI-driven business analytics capability, allowing the organization to monetize data and enhance customer experience.

The CTO will also establish a comprehensive security framework and create customer/employee-centric experience platforms to connect the organization.

This strategic leader will report directly to the CEO and provide oversight and direction to IT and business leaders on strategy, standards, and opportunities for shared services and economies of scale.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a digital transformation strategy aligned with the organization's objectives.
  • Position the organization as a thought leader in industry forums and foster innovation across the company.
  • Advise senior management on emerging technologies and digital trends relevant to the organization's goals and evolving needs.
  • Create a futuristic IT architecture focused on delivering seamless omni-channel experiences across sales and service.
  • Build consensus among diverse stakeholders and communicate an IT vision and strategy across all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
  • Over 20 years of experience in IT or tech, preferably in retail organizations or services companies managing end-to-end responsibilities for enterprises.
  • Experience in digital transformation for enterprises, particularly in the retail industry, spanning business processes.
  • Omnichannel system expertise required for a new generation retailer.
  • Experience across applications, infrastructure, network, and end-user IT environment operations.
  • Ability to define and manage a futuristic IT architecture, covering applications, data, and security.
  • Establishing an IT governance model across the organization.
  • DevOps transformation experience.
  • Process transformation expertise.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation technologies.
  • Willingness to take calculated risks and ability to start from scratch.
  • Target orientation and familiarity with service delivery constructs relevant to IT services, including building and managing partner ecosystems.
  • Front-line leadership and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of technology and architecture concepts, including industry trends and disruptors.
