Placement Leader for Engineering Institutes

The ideal candidate will spearhead campus recruitment initiatives, fostering connections between the institution and industry partners to elevate student employability.

To succeed in this role, the successful Placement Leader will design, implement, and continuously refine placement strategies, skill development programs, and industry tie-ups.

The key objectives of this position include:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with recruiters, corporates, and industry associations to drive mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Identify and invite top companies for campus placements across various disciplines, ensuring a diverse pool of opportunities for students.
  • Negotiate favorable recruitment terms and optimize placement conversion rates through effective communication and strategic planning.
  • Develop and execute pre-placement training programs, focusing on aptitude, group discussion, technical skills, and interview preparation to equip students with essential competencies.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and industry experts to bridge skill gaps and tailor training programs to meet industry demands.
  • Mentor students throughout their placement journey, tracking progress and providing guidance to ensure readiness for job placements.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive annual placement calendars, ensuring seamless logistics for placement drives, interviews, and tests.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and other logistical needs for visiting companies and dignitaries.
  • Maintain accurate records of placement statistics, reports, and feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize industry visits, guest lectures, and career counseling sessions to foster a culture of professional growth and exploration.
  • Pursue internship, live project, and corporate training opportunities that enhance student experience and employer engagement.
  • Represent the institution at job fairs, industry conferences, and HR summits to promote the institution's reputation and placement services.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management on placement status, recruiter feedback, and student performance, highlighting areas for improvement and success stories.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional policies, data confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational background: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in training & placement, corporate HR, or recruitment, preferably within the education sector.
  • Proven track record of successful campus placements and a strong professional network within the industry.
