About the Role

As a Scientific Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex scientific ideas into visually engaging materials. This involves combining scientific expertise with creative design skills to produce accurate and impactful visuals.

You will be responsible for developing graphical abstracts, journal cover images, infographics, posters, brochures, and other materials that effectively communicate scientific concepts to various audiences.

• Create compelling visual narratives that succinctly represent the essence of scientific studies.
• Analyze scientific manuscripts to identify key visual elements and concepts.
• Design storyboards that outline the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
• Collaborate with researchers, writers, and clients to refine and finalize visual representations.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Graphic Designer who possesses a strong background in STEM fields, particularly Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing and communicating complex research into engaging output.

• Hold a graduate or PhD degree in a relevant STEM field.
• Demonstrate advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
• Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Showcase a portfolio that highlights your expertise in scientific graphic designing, medical illustrations, and graphical abstracts.
