Cloud Engineer Role

About the Position:

We're seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to guide our clients from current to future state by unlocking the value of their data and applications.

This professional will operate in an open, friendly culture with the backing of a reputable company.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools like GitLab CI, AWS Code Pipeline, etc.

The selected individual will also manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and services in AWS, leveraging native services like EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, etc.

Furthermore, they will develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages to streamline operations.

Additional responsibilities include implementing and managing containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.

The chosen candidate will use AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) to define cloud infrastructure in code and manage deployments.

They will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS services, cloud security, deployment processes, and system performance.

The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure efficient integration and deployment processes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will focus on monitoring, logging, and improving infrastructure reliability, scalability, and performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps practices and cloud engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and infrastructure management.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, AWS Code Pipeline, etc.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve AWS Cloud-related issues.
