We're seeking a seasoned engineering leader to helm our software development team. As a Technical Director, you'll oversee code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers.
Your expertise in Node.js and JavaScript will be instrumental in architecting scalable solutions, designing robust backend services, and managing large datasets with AWS services.
With 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development and 3+ years of leadership experience, you'll drive technology adoption, evaluate emerging tools, and make strategic technical decisions.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless solutions, ensuring timely project delivery and excellent communication skills.
In addition to your technical prowess, you'll possess strong coaching, mentoring, and code review skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers.
- Architect scalable and reliable solutions using Node.js.
- Design and develop robust backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Manage large datasets with efficient storage, processing, and optimization strategies.
- Work extensively with AWS services (RDS, Redshift, EC2, S3, Kinesis).
- Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and analytics teams.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development with deep expertise in Node.js & JavaScript.
- 3+ years of proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Strong foundation in software architecture, design patterns, and system design.
- In-depth knowledge of relational & NoSQL databases.
- Solid expertise with AWS ecosystem (RDS, Redshift, EC2, S3, Kinesis).
- Experience in managing large datasets, performance tuning, and data analytics workflows.
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and code review skills.
A bonus if you have:
- Full Stack expertise with frontend skills in React.js, Angular, Vue.js, or Next.js.
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
- Experience leading distributed or remote-first engineering teams.
