Database Management Professional Wanted

We are looking for an experienced and skilled professional to manage and support our MS SQL databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor generated log and event files to identify potential errors that could result in incidents
  • Ensure database availability and monitor for failures to prevent data loss
  • Purge database logs and trace files to maintain optimal performance
  • Review and maintain consistent configurations across the database environment
  • Provide monthly reports on database availability to stakeholders
  • Respond promptly to database-related incidents and drive corrective action to minimize downtime
  • Tune DB parameters to optimize database performance
  • Correlate related incidents together into a problem ticket and manage through the problem management process
  • Use trend analysis to identify, detail, categorize, prioritize, and create Problem Management Records
  • Restore database functionality quickly to meet business needs
  • Support critical issues with the SQL DB L2 team
  • Manage all Service requests through the change management process
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in managing and supporting MS SQL databases
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of database installation, troubleshooting, and configuration
  • Experience with Always ON Cluster configuration and management
  • Failover Cluster Management
  • Patching and Failover cluster and Always ON
  • Replication and Link Server configuration
  • Database Patching and Hardening
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
