Job Overview

We seek a seasoned Oracle Performance Tuner to lead our database optimization efforts.

  • Monitor and analyze database performance to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to boost query performance, reduce latency, and enhance throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy efficient database solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices in Oracle database administration and performance tuning to stakeholders.
  • Stay current with the latest Oracle features and technologies to ensure high-performance and secure databases.
Key Responsibilities

Database Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to improve query execution time, reduce latency, and increase throughput.

Collaboration & Expertise: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain efficient database solutions. Provide expert-level guidance on Oracle best practices, database administration, and performance tuning to developers and other stakeholders.

Knowledge & Skills: Possess extensive knowledge of database data movement and processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL. Strong understanding of Oracle architecture, including 12c/19c and Exadata capabilities. Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL, with expertise in performance tuning using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, and Hints.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a logical and physical DBA, including experience in Oracle Exadata.
  • Extensive knowledge of database data movement and processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle architecture, including 12c/19c and Exadata capabilities.
  • Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL, with expertise in performance tuning using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, and Hints.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
