Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly analytical and people-oriented individual to join our development team in Pattern's Pune office. As a software development professional, you will work on a team of 4-6 engineers to develop and maintain our e-commerce SaaS applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our development teams to ideate software solutions
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of our web architecture
  • Develop and manage highly reliable and scalable databases and applications
  • Lead project progress and management by defining and achieving goals
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies with our global team
  • Design and implement continuous integration and deployment
  • Solve problems using alternative approaches and consultation with stakeholders
  • Work effectively with a team, encouraging innovation and best practices
  • Participate in the hiring process by taking interviews and referring candidates

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of proven work experience in Ruby and Rails development
  • 2-4 years of experience in Object-Oriented Design using more than one programming language (e.g., Python, C, C#, Java, PHP, Go, TypeScript, Node.js)
  • Proficiency with more than one DBMS (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
  • Excellent understanding of REST concepts and familiarity with the Richardson Maturity Model of REST services
  • Exposure to SRE / DevOps practices
  • Deep expertise in object-oriented development, including strong knowledge of design patterns and design principles
  • Appreciation for clean and well-documented code
  • Understanding of messaging concepts and technologies (e.g., Active MQ, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, AWS SNS)
  • Experience in writing automated unit tests
  • Precise attention to detail
  • An eagerness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • One or more years of experience with e-commerce platforms
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Previous experience working in a high-stakes business environment
  • Experience in collaborating with remote teams

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
