About the Role:

This position is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to impactful governance initiatives.

We are seeking a skilled researcher with a passion for public sector impact to support the development of state and national manifestos and policy recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of India's political landscape and governance structures, as well as excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities include conducting background research, gathering data, and supporting the preparation of actionable reports for governance and policy reform initiatives.

The successful candidate will also contribute to drafting policy documents, manifestos, and recommendations under supervision, and assist in preparing presentations, briefs, and analysis summaries for internal and external audiences.

Additionally, they will be expected to stay up-to-date with political, regulatory, and programmatic developments, and introduce best practices and innovations to team processes.

This role requires a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and adapt quickly to emerging priorities in complex, high-pressure contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct background research and gather data
  • Support the preparation of actionable reports for governance and policy reform initiatives
  • Contribute to drafting policy documents, manifestos, and recommendations
  • Assist in preparing presentations, briefs, and analysis summaries
  • Stay up-to-date with political, regulatory, and programmatic developments

Requirements:

  • Minimum degree from a Tier 1 or 2 academic institution in Social Sciences, Law, Engineering or related fields
  • Prior experience or demonstrated interest in policy research, governance projects, or political consulting is desirable
  • Strong grasp of India's political landscape and governance structures
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment
