The role of a Delivery Supervisor involves overseeing the operational functions of imports and exports departments, ensuring timely and accurate processes. This entails coordinating workflows, managing resources, and supervising team leaders to achieve organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate operations for imports and exports departments, monitoring workflows and resource management to ensure efficient processing
  • Evaluate performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement data-driven solutions
  • Manage shift supervisors and their teams, review progress regularly, and ensure all team members meet quality, timeline, and communication expectations
  • Resolve complex issues during the shipment process, provide regular feedback, training, and development sessions, and foster an ownership mindset within the team
  • Identify inefficiencies or data integrity concerns, develop corrective action plans, and propose automation and process enhancements
Financial Management
  • Set strategic objectives for the team in alignment with company priorities and key performance indicators
  • Utilise established financial tools to ensure timely completion of accounting tasks and optimal revenue generation
Leadership and Team Management
  • Lead, motivate, and manage operations teams, maintain adequate staffing levels, and conduct regular performance evaluations
  • Establish targets and objectives, monitor staff performance, collaborate with HR on employee relations and training matters, and make informed decisions on job status and succession planning recommendations
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with international trade procedures and financial regulations: TSA, CBP, IATA, FMC, BIS
  • Bachelor's degree in any field (preferably Commerce, International Trade, Logistics)
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience, preferably in freight forwarding, with at least 2 years of team leadership experience, including managing team leads or shift supervisors
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, strong analytical abilities, customer service orientation, and results-driven approach

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to multitask and handle complex challenges.
