Academic Mental Health Specialist - Career Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Academic Mental Health Specialist to join our team at a premier academic institution in West Bengal. Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide overnight mental health support on a rotational basis (10 PM – 6 AM) and conduct in-person counseling sessions in student hostels. They will also facilitate walk-in sessions and manage student appointments through our portal, undertaking floor walks in hostels to build visibility, accessibility, and trust with students.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide emotional support and guidance to students experiencing mental health challenges.Conduct regular counseling sessions, adapting to the needs of individual students.Collaborate with the team to develop and implement student wellness programs.Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring confidentiality and upholding strict ethical standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology.
  • 1-8 years of experience working with youth/academic mental health.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to engage with students empathetically and approachably.
  • Comfortable with flexible working hours, including night shifts.
  • Fluent in English and Hindi, with knowledge of Bengali a plus.
  • Willingness to stay on campus.
