Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead and manage key intellectual property-related matters including prosecution, litigation, and advisory services. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in both Indian and international IP laws, a client-centric approach, and the ability to guide a team of legal associates and interns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end IPR matters including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs.
  • Advise clients on IP strategy, protection, enforcement, and commercialization.
  • Draft, review, and file IP applications (national & international), oppositions, assignments, and licensing agreements.
  • Represent clients in IPR litigation and enforcement actions, including appearing before IPO, IPAB, and courts.
  • Conduct IP due diligence, freedom to operate (FTO), and infringement analysis.
  • Liaise with external counsels, authorities, and international associates for cross-border IP matters.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, ensuring knowledge development and quality delivery.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, legal amendments, and case laws related to IPR.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law (LL.B / LL.M), with registered patent agent status being a plus. A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in IP law is required, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal team. Strong legal drafting, analytical, and research skills are essential, along with excellent communication, leadership, and client-handling abilities. A proven track record in managing complex IPR portfolios and high-stakes litigation is also necessary.
