Occupational Therapist Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's abilities using standardized tools and gather relevant information through clinical observations and parent/caregiver interviews.
  • Interpret assessment results to identify areas of need and develop individualized treatment plans based on child/family goals.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote independence, improve functional skills, and enhance the quality of life for children and their families.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic activities, sensory integration techniques, and adaptive equipment training.
  • Modify treatment plans as needed based on child progress and changing needs.
  • Collaborate with parents/caregivers to develop and implement home programs and provide education and training on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment use.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in India.
  • Experience working with children with developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges.
  • Knowledge of pediatric assessment tools and treatment techniques.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
