Physiotherapist Opportunity

Lady Andal House of Children is a special school in Chennai, dedicated to providing education and vocational training for children and adults with disabilities. We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in physiotherapy, coupled with proven experience in teaching or working with individuals with diverse learning needs. The role involves conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering 1:1 and group physiotherapy sessions. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, occupational therapists, and speech & language therapists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for children with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome, and ASD with motor delay.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans (ITPs) and therapy goals in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other health professionals.
  • Deliver 1:1 and group physiotherapy sessions tailored to each child's developmental level and physical needs.
  • Provide support for physical access and mobility within the school environment.
  • Monitor progress and outcomes using evidence-based tools and update care plans accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc) and HCPC registration.
  • Previous experience working with children and/or young people with special needs is highly desirable.
  • Manual Handling and Safeguarding Children.
