Cloud Architect Position

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead our cloud operations team at Sycamore Informatics Inc. As a key member of our cloud operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SaaS product offerings.

  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud architectures using AWS or Azure platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure implementations to support SaaS operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations of Sycamore SaaS products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Cloud Operations team goals and deliverables as determined by leadership.
  • Take ownership of customer implementations, including SLA and SLO.
  • Automate and enhance critical processes in Cloud Operations.
  • Drive disaster recovery and failover procedures, training, testing, and team readiness.
  • Contribute to process improvements and technical improvements that lead to increased stability and reliability.

Required Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud computing, and IT operations.
  • Strong Linux knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.
  • Kubernetes, helm Charts, Terraform, Ansible, Windows Terminal Services, AD, LDAP experience.
  • Problem and incident management experience.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline and SRE tools like Datadog.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in cloud technology – AWS, Azure.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • RHEL, Kubernetes, AWS certifications.
