Accounting Specialist Role

Overview of Key Responsibilities

  • The selected candidate will oversee accounting operations for a portfolio of companies across the US and APAC regions.
  • The accountant will manage general ledger activities, including journal entry posting, account reconciliation, and close-out processes at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
  • A key aspect of this role is ensuring financial reporting accuracy and timeliness in line with US GAAP and APAC accounting standards.
  • The successful candidate will supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, vendor management, customer billing, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Collaboration with production teams is crucial for tracking costs and performance metrics, preparing consolidated financial statements and reports as needed.
  • The accountant will analyze and summarize account information and trends to aid in financial decision-making, assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • They will also collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
  • This role involves implementing and streamlining accounting processes across both regions to improve efficiency and accuracy, recommending process improvements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CA/CPA certifications are preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and QuickBooks Desktop is required.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and understanding of APAC accounting standards (US-GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP)
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
