Storytelling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Storytelling Specialist. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interviewing and documentation abilities, and the ability to write across formats.

About the Role:

This role involves engaging directly with beneficiaries, documenting experiences, and turning them into compelling narratives across formats. You will be responsible for conducting interviews and conversations with beneficiaries, documenting stories and events in clear and concise formats, and supporting the creation of internal and external communication material.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews and conversations with beneficiaries to capture authentic stories.
  • Document stories and events in clear, concise, and engaging formats.
  • Support the development of internal and external communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to generate fresh ideas for content.
  • Assist in designing visual content such as social media posts, presentations, or reports using design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Canva, or similar.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (ongoing or completed) in Communications, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts, Media Studies, Public Relations, or related fields.
  • Candidates from Design, Fine Arts, or related disciplines with strong writing skills are also encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong interviewing and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to write across formats: from short social media copy to long-form articles.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple stories and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with design tools is a significant plus.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
