Cloud Operations Engineer Roles

About This Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud infrastructure, with a passion for improving reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms
  • Closely tracking daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports to optimize resource allocation
  • Developing and maintaining scripts/automation for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements using various scripting languages
  • Collaborating with engineering and product teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources based on business requirements
  • Identifying and implementing reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce cloud spend

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services, including Amazon EC2, S3, and Lambda
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization, leveraging tools like CloudWatch, Cost Explorer, and Billing Reports
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation to ensure high-quality cloud services
