Procurement Executive Role

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for supporting the business needs of a leading healthcare organization by ensuring timely procurement of indirect spend categories, including marketing, IT, facility, and HR requirements.

To achieve this, he/she must define category performance objectives aligned with supply chain management objectives and ensure compliance with organizational policies and processes.

He/She will oversee procurement activities for the indirect category, focusing on demand forecasting and developing an annual procurement plan aligned with business requirements.

This involves analyzing industry trends, understanding demand patterns, and vendor landscapes to develop category strategies and execution plans.

Additionally, he/she will define sourcing and negotiation strategies based on best practices and focus on standardizing product specifications to drive catalog creation through rate cards.

He/She will collaborate with product/business teams and vendors to optimize technical specifications of user requirements and understand how various systems interact to fulfill business needs.

Maintaining close working relationships with business functions, SCM Operations, SCM Enablers, and SCM Logistics is crucial for efficient sourcing.

He/She will work with in-house teams and suppliers to meet efficiency norms and service delivery SLAs and support the development of supplier relationship management strategies.

Compliance with procurement guidelines and rules, both internal and external, is essential.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree and MBA or recognized procurement certification
  • Minimum 6 years of global indirect procurement experience with a large multinational setup preferably IT/healthcare
  • Knowledge of recent trends and developments in facility management, marketing, technology, and network fields (e.g., Cloud, IoT)
  • Experience in strategic sourcing via category management
  • Significant experience in leading teams
  • Understanding of international, regional, and local supply markets and working practices

Preferred Skills

  • Experience of implementing change in a complex environment, working with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience in catalog development for standard products/services
  • Experience in e-sourcing toolsets Oracle/SAP
