Power Electronics Leader

The position of Vice President defines and owns the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for power electronics systems. This includes leading the design, simulation, prototyping, and validation of high-efficiency rectifier and DC-DC converter systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Develop and drive the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for power electronics systems.
  • Design and Development: Lead the development, testing, and validation of high-efficiency rectifier and DC-DC converter systems (10 kW to >5 MW).
  • Innovation and Collaboration: Drive innovation in cost-effective, scalable, and high-efficiency power conversion for electrolyzer stacks. Partner with mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering to co-optimize packaging, cooling, and integration.
  • Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of power electronics engineers and technicians.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with component vendors, contract manufacturers, and external design partners.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant grid codes, EMC/EMI standards, UL, IEC, IEEE, or other regulatory frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to align technical goals with commercial requirements.

The ideal candidate should have a Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on power electronics. They should have 18+ years of industry experience in power electronics, including at least 5 years in leadership roles. Deep understanding of AC-DC and DC-DC conversion topologies, especially in multi-kilowatt to multi-megawatt power classes, is required.

Requirements:
  • A Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on power electronics.
  • At least 18 years of industry experience in power electronics, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
