Job Title:
PBKS Electronics Design Specialist

The ideal candidate will have experience in both software development and design, with a focus on printed circuit board (PCB) layout.

 

About the Role:

  1. Develop and maintain PCB CAD libraries, including schematic symbols, footprints, and parametric data
  2. Create new components following IPC-7351 standards for surface mount devices (SMD), through-hole technology (THT), connectors, and complex IC packages
  3. Validate bills of materials (BOMs), electrical attributes, package information, and component descriptions
  4. Process new part requests using product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and update library accordingly
  5. Cross-check datasheets, schematics, and footprints to ensure accuracy in pin sequencing and package details
  6. Maintain close communication with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and compliance
  7. Ensure smooth integration with electronic computer-aided design (ECAD)/mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD) tools

 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics Expedition, and OrCAD/Capture CIS
  • Experience with PLM systems such as Windchill, Target PLM, Teamcenter, and Cockpit Server
  • Familiarity with IPC-7351 standards for footprint creation and validation
  • Understanding of RoHS and REACH compliance
  • Ability to create and maintain 3D models, BOM validation, and part numbering systems
  • Skilled in cross-referencing datasheets, schematics, and footprints
  • Familiarity with calculators like LP Wizard and Footprint Expert
