This role focuses on designing tests that expose vulnerabilities in storage tiering, kernel interactions, and edge cases.

  • Create complex test scenarios to simulate filesystem corruption, kernel panics, and recovery processes.
  • Identify weaknesses early through fault injection, fuzzing, and adversarial testing approaches.
  • Develop automation frameworks to simulate I/O storms, memory leaks, and resource starvation.
  • Induce system failure: Artificially create disk space issues and eliminate downtime through efficient solutions.
  • Solve intricate problems at the kernel, filesystem, and block device levels.
  • Lead a quality-driven culture: Mentor engineers in defensive thinking with emphasis on non-functional requirements and establish CI/CD pipelines.
