Data Engineers play a critical role in our organization by analyzing raw data, interpreting trends and patterns, and conducting complex analysis to drive business outcomes.

Data Engineer Responsibilities

  • Analyze data from different sources to gain insights and inform strategic decisions
  • Interpret trends and patterns to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth
  • Conduct complex analysis and report on results to stakeholders
  • Develop tools and programs to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
  • Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines and builds out new integrations to support increasing data volume and complexity.
  • Collaborates with analytics and business teams to develop data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making.
  • Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders.
  • Writes unit/integration tests, contributes to documentation, and ensures work meets high standards.
  • Performs analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
  • Works closely with a team of engineers, product managers, and analysts to drive business outcomes.
  • Defines data assets (data models), develops data integration and quality frameworks.
  • Designs and evaluates tools for data lineage.
  • Requirements and skills
  • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)
  • Hands-on experience with database design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
