CloudEagle is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. We help finance, operations, and IT teams save on software spend and streamline the renewal and buying process.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their backend development skills while gaining exposure to how business decisions are made.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and customer teams to build integrations, debug live issues, read API documentation, and contribute to system infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Write clean, efficient Java code and build scalable backend components.
  • Read and understand external API documentation to help build new integrations.
  • Debug production issues by analyzing logs and participating in on-call rotations.
  • Test and validate APIs using Postman or similar tools.
  • Participate in on-call debugging sessions with customers to resolve real-time issues.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into technical tasks.
  • Take part in technical analysis, design discussions, and roadmap planning.
  • Build and maintain robust APIs to support integrations.
  • Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of backend development experience in Java.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting API documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring, Hibernate, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of business thinking or interest in pursuing business analysis in the future.
  • Familiarity with tools like Postman, log analyzers, and version control systems (Git).
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work cross-functionally.
