Job Opportunity: Software Development Specialist


As a skilled software development specialist, you will play a vital role in designing and developing new software applications. Your expertise in mainframe technologies, such as Assembler, COBOL, and JCL, will be instrumental in creating innovative solutions.


The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, providing technical support during solution design for new requirements. You will also be responsible for investigating issues by reviewing/debugging code, providing fixes and workarounds, and reviewing changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.


In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve goals. You will also be encouraged to actively look for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks.


To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • • A bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computer Science or equivalent
  • • Professional & Relevant Experience: 3-6 years on Mainframe technologies like Assembler, COBOL, JCL
  • • Good to have - IMS DC
  • • Maintenance, Support & Development in Mainframe Technologies
  • • Shift Working (1-10 or 3-12, but flexibility as per business need)
  • • Provide production support (resolve job abends) for customer applications for any issue
