Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data systems that meet the needs of our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, including experience with cloud-based data services, data lakes, and warehouses. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement solutions efficiently.

Key responsibilities will include building and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in a Data Engineering role using SQL, PySpark, and AirFlow
  • Strong understanding of data lake and warehouse design best practices and principles
  • Practical hands-on experience in cloud-based data services for ETL/ELT covering AWS EC2, S3 Storage, and EMR
  • Ability to manage and enhance infrastructure related to environments covering Spark, Hive, Presto
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres, MySQL, Oracle
