Cloud Operations Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished cloud operations engineer to lead our team in optimizing cloud infrastructure costs, developing automation scripts, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure efficient resource utilization.

  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Track daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, identifying anomalies and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and maintain scripts/automation (Python, Bash, or similar) for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements
  • Work with engineering and product teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources
  • Identify and implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce spend
  • Leverage native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, GCP Billing, as well as third-party monitoring platforms
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.)
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads

  • Streamline resource utilization through automation and collaboration with engineering teams

  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services and management tools
  • Scripting and programming skills to develop automation solutions
