Cloud Network Infrastructure Specialist Role

Our organization is seeking an experienced professional to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud network infrastructure. As a Cloud Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our cloud network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, architect, install, maintain, and manage cloud network infrastructure, including physical and software-defined networks.
  2. Evaluate and ensure high availability, flexibility, and performance of the network, ensuring Service Level Agreement compliance.
  3. Develop and maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, monitoring, and auditing procedures.
  4. Collaborate with clients and team members on daily changes, incidents, and requests.
  5. Oversee a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and expertise as needed.
  6. Monitor key performance metrics and trends, identifying risks and business impact, and recommending solutions.
  7. Develop and deliver technical presentations and proposals for cloud network infrastructure projects.
  8. Manage and/or execute technical validation activities, including proof-of-concept deployments.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in data center networking, L2/L3 technologies, and Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless devices.
  • Strong understanding of WAN & Routing technologies (leased lines, GRE VPNs, IPSEC based VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Security technologies (firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, VPN technologies)
  • Switching knowledge (VLANs, VXLAN, LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, 802.1q)
  • QoS fundamentals and implementation
  • Knowledge of network monitoring protocols & tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Zabbix, PRTG, etc.)
  • Good understanding of SDN technologies, preferably hands-on experience with VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, or Cisco
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly resolve complex problems.
  • Motivated individual with effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Motivated learner with ability to quickly learn new technologies and stay current with emerging networking skills
  • Experience leading a team of at least 4 people in a similar role
