We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Materials Engineering team in Bengaluru, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading company efforts and innovative technology solutions to advance Refractory and Ceramic Material Technologies.

Job Summary

The Materials Science and Engineering Professional will collaborate with multi-discipline teams and engage with external partners to identify innovative refractory and ceramic technologies. The role will involve evaluating refractory and ceramic material offerings for application in existing and emerging petrochemical applications.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for external industry engagement to advance industry standards for refractory and ceramics. Additionally, the role will involve supporting all business line operations – Product Solutions, Low Carbon Solutions and Upstream in the area of operational integrity and project development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to identify innovative refractory and ceramic technologies.
  • Evaluate refractory and ceramic material offerings for application in existing and emerging petrochemical applications.
  • Engage with external partners to advance industry standards for refractory and ceramics.
  • Support all business line operations in the area of operational integrity and project development.
  • Provide technical mentoring and continuous on-the-job guidance to develop early career engineers on the team.
  • Coordinate and communicate between various global centers and business affiliates for knowledge transfer, sharing learnings, skill management and maintaining business relationships.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or master's degree from a recognized university in Ceramic Engineering, Material Science with focus on Ceramic Technology. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field of Ceramic Engineering and Technology is required.

The successful candidate will also have experience with ceramic/refractories for petrochemical or other heavy industrial applications, as well as experience with ceramic/ceramic composites. Additionally, the candidate will have experience in decarbonization processes for heavy industry and refractory system design, inspection, and maintenance.
