Product Development Engineer

In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of innovative products that enhance daily living.

  1. Design and prototype wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components with a focus on precision and manufacturability.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights on market needs and consumer trends to inform product development.
  3. Develop lightweight, robust load-bearing structures (FEA validation) that meet high-performance standards.
  4. Integrate motors, batteries, and control systems with structural design for seamless functionality.
  5. Work closely with vendors to ensure precision fabrication and quality delivery.
  6. Conduct rigorous testing for durability, safety, and compliance.
  7. Optimize materials and processes for cost, weight, and performance while maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engineer ergonomic components with a focus on user comfort and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to refine products for manufacturability and reduce costs.
  • Develop high-integrity designs that balance performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 2–4 years' experience in product development (mobility, automotive, or structural products).
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) with strong knowledge of 3D modeling and simulation.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping with exposure to EV/mechatronic systems.
